Educational and Social Project "Chodź poznaj mój świat!"

State Vocational University of prof. Stanisław Tarnowski in Tarnobrzeg took the honorary patronage of the Educational and Social Project " Chodź poznaj mój świat !", implemented by Primary School No. 7 in Tarnobrzeg. This program is intended to shape the attitude of tolerance and eliminate prejudices towards children with various types of disabilities. This project is the first comprehensive project in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, introducing children and parents to the needs of disabled people and understanding the world "without barriers". The wife of the President of the Republic of Poland, Agata Kornhauser-Duda, also took honorary patronage over the project.

We feel honored to have the opportunity to take part in shaping the attitude of tolerance and eliminating prejudices towards children with various types of disabilities. As a university, we care about disseminating attitudes of great social importance, which is the promotion of tolerance towards disabled children.

"Aktywny Samorząd" 2023 Module I


We would like to inform you that from March 1, 2023 Until August 31, 2023, we accept applications under the Pilot Program "Active local government" - Module I. The program is financed by the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons, and its implementer in the city of Tarnobrzeg is the Municipal Family Support Center in Tarnobrzeg. The following tasks will be carried out this year:

Area A – removal of the transport barrier:

  • Task 1 - assistance in purchasing and installing accessories for your car (addressed to people with a certificate of on disability - up to 16 years of age or persons with a significant or moderate degree of disability, with a musculoskeletal dysfunction);
  • Task 2 - assistance in obtaining a driving license (addressed to people with a significant or moderate degree of disability, with musculoskeletal dysfunction);
  • Task 3 - assistance in obtaining a driving license (addressed to people with a significant or moderate degree of disability, with hearing dysfunction to the extent that requires the use of the services of a sign language interpreter);
  • Task 4 - assistance in purchasing and installing accessories for your car (addressed to people with a significant or moderate degree of disability, with hearing dysfunction);

Area B – elimination of barriers to participation in the information society:

  • Task 1 – assistance in the purchase of electronic equipment or its components and software (addressed to people with a disability certificate - up to 16 years of age or to people with a significant degree of disability, with dysfunction of the eye or both upper limbs);
  • Task 2 – co-financing of training in the field of service acquired under the electronic equipment program and software;
  • Task 3 – assistance in the purchase of electronic equipment or its components and software (addressed to people with a moderate degree of disability, with visual impairment);
  • Task 4 – assistance in the purchase of electronic equipment or its components and software (addressed to people with a disability certificate up to 16 years of age or people with a significant or moderate degree of disability, with hearing impairment and difficulties in communicating through speech);
  • Task 5 – assistance in maintaining the technical efficiency of electronic equipment purchased under the program (addressed to people with a disability certificate - up to 16 years of age or people with a significant degree of disability);

Area C – elimination of barriers to movement:

  • Task 1 - assistance in the purchase of an electric wheelchair addressed to people with a disability certificate (up to 16 years of age) or people with a significant degree of disability and dysfunction that prevents independent movement by means of a manual wheelchair, by,
  • Task 2 – assistance in maintaining the technical efficiency of a scooter or wheelchair with electric drive (addressed to people with a disability certificate - up to 16 years of age or people with a significant degree of disability);
  • Task 3 – assistance in the purchase of a limb prosthesis, in which modern technical solutions were used, ie prostheses at least at the III level of quality (addressed to people with a degree of disability);
  • Task 4 – assistance in maintaining the technical efficiency of the limb prosthesis, in which modern technical solutions were used - at least at the III level of quality (addressed to people with a degree of disability);
  • Task 5 – assistance in the purchase of an electric wheelchair or electrical equipment for a hand truck (addressed to people with a disability certificate - up to 16 years of age or people with a significant degree of disability, or, with musculoskeletal dysfunction causing problems in independent movement and having the consent of a specialist doctor to use the subject of co-financing);

Area D – assistance in maintaining professional activity by providing care for a dependent person (a child staying in a nursery or kindergarten or under other such care, or, assistance addressed to people with severe or moderate disabilities who are the legal representative or legal guardian of the child).

We kindly inform you that in 2023, people who have an electronic signature or a Trusted Profile on the ePUAP platform have the opportunity to submit an application in electronic form, in the system prepared by the State Fund for Rehabilitation of Disabled People - SOW (Support Support System financed from PFRON funds, https://sow.pfron.org.pl). This system allows you to submit an application without leaving home, without queues and without barriers. People interested in obtaining assistance can also use other forms of assistance in the SCO system in the field of submitting an application: a wizard facilitating application for funds, a helpline, as well as a mobile assistant for a disabled person. You can also get help at the information points of the SCO, located in all PFRON branches.

We would also like to remind you that in accordance with the principles of the "Aktywny Samorząd" program in 2023, electronic inference in the SCO system is additionally rewarded to Applicants:

  • In the case of Module I, it is 10 preferential points during the substantive assessment of applications,

FUNDING OF LEARNING COSTS

 

 

From March 1, 2023, as part of the Pilot Program „Active Local Government” – Module II, you can apply for help in co-financing the costs of studying at a post-secondary school, college or university – first-cycle studies, second-cycle studies, uniform master studies, postgraduate or doctoral studies conducted by universities in the stationary - day or part-time - evening, evening system, extramural or external, including through the Internet or doctoral schools.

People with a significant or moderate degree of disability can apply for funding. Applications can be submitted in electronic form in a dedicated Support Service System (SOW) prepared by PFRON.

Deadlines for submitting applications:

  • from March 1 to March 31, 2023 – for applications for the school year 2022/2023
  • from 1 September to 10 October 2023 - for applications for the school/academic year 2023/2024

Educational offer


State Professional University prof. Stanislawa Tarnowski in Tarnobrzeg indicates that on the basis of § 20 and § 22 of the Regulations of the State University of Professional Studies prof. Stanislaw Tarnowski in Tarnobrzeg, as well as  § 2 Regulations for granting support and dispose of funds from the Support Fund for Persons with Disabilities as part of grants for tasks related to creating conditions for students who are disabled to participate fully in the education process at the State Vocational University im. prof's. Stanislaw Tarnowski in Tarnobrzeg.
 
 
The University undertakes and will undertake activities aimed at ensuring equal opportunities in the implementation of the educational process, taking into account the degree and nature of the student's disability.
 
The support referred to in these Regulations is intended for students with disabilities of the University, having a competent authority certificate confirming the degree of disability or an equivalent document, registered with the Proxy.
 
The funds from the budget subsidy provided to the University for tasks related to providing students with disabilities with conditions for full participation in the education process are allocated in particular to:
  • recruitment costs for students with disabilities:
  • adaptation of information and recruitment materials relating only to the provision of information on the conditions of recruitment and study,
  • adaptation of websites to the needs of candidates,
  • support in the form of individual didactic classes tailored to the needs and the opportunities of disabled students,
  • adaptation of examinations and other forms of verification of learning outcomes to individual needs and opportunities resulting from the type of disability, and, in particular, to receive teaching materials in an agreed form with the teacher,
  • the, organization of trainings, workshops, conferences for:
  • students with disabilities of the University, concerning the improvement of their psychosocial skills and professional activation;
  • employees and students of able-bodied Universities raising awareness related to with disability and the presence of people with disabilities at the University;
  • organization of physical education classes and additional sports activities tailored to the needs of students with disabilities, including the participation of a therapist,
  • organizing additional, complementary or compensatory didactic classes tailored to the needs of students with disabilities,
  • adaptation of the University's website to the needs of students with disabilities,
  • the purchase of instruments and utensils facilitating the participation of students with disabilities in physical education classes, additional, complementary or compensatory classes, and,
  • providing and adapting relevant teaching materials in a form accessible to students with different types and degrees of disability, and,
  • salary costs of students with disabilities assistants,
  • adaptation of the library to the needs of students with disabilities,
  • purchase of books for the library in a version that takes into account the needs of students with disabilities (eg in electronic, spoken, Braille) and purchase of specialized computer programs that facilitate or enable learning according to the needs reported by students with disabilities, as well as,
  • purchase of equipment facilitating the process of education for students with disabilities, which can be used almost exclusively at the University, during classes, credits and exams, in public places designated for this purpose. In individual cases, the equipment can be rented to students with disabilities for individual implementation of the education process,
  • purchase of technological means supporting the teaching of students with disabilities (for example, screen enlargers, computer enlargers with equipped notebooks in magnifying and reading software, electronic magnifiers with built-in and external cameras, voice recorders, MP3 players, other teaching aids such as interactive boards with appropriate software, multimedia projectors, etc.), the following,
  • purchase of specialist equipment supporting, among others, hearing, sight, for use in the process of education by students with disabilities, both during didactic classes and exams, as well as works involving self-education at the University and on loan terms,
  • purchase of computer equipment with special software and peripheral devices, in order to facilitate or enable the learning of students with disabilities, and,
  • costs of renting/renting assistance/specialized devices facilitating accessibility for people with disabilities,
  • covering costs related to psychological counseling for students with disabilities, 
  • removing architectural barriers in the University,
  • covering the costs of remuneration of academic teachers and covering the costs of employment/reward/improvement of qualifications and competences of employees of offices/units dealing with the availability of conditions for students, and,
  • covering office and administrative costs incurred for students with disabilities (eg office supplies, promotion through the issuance of leaflets, brochures, informants), and,
  • covering the costs of other activities aimed at creating conditions for students with disabilities to participate fully in the education process.

Facilities


Library of the State Vocational University of prof. Stanisław Tarnowski in Tarnobrzeg, which is located in the building at 10 Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego Street, has the following equipment adapted for blind and partially sighted people:

  •        three computer sets (equipped with, among others, ZOOMTEX special keyboards, WINDOW-EYES PRO programs, FINE READER 9.0 CORPORATE EDITION PL, ZOOMTEX and MICROSOFT OFFICE PRO 2007 MOLP)

    moreover:

    ·     HP laser printer,

    ·      ANDROMEDA color enlarger

     

The building has all facilities for disabled people and is free from architectural barriers.

 

The teaching and library building at 10 Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego Street has:

  • 2 parking spaces for disabled people, 
  • driveway at the entrance to the building,
  •  there is an elevator in the building,
  • there are toilets for disabled people on all levels (ground floor, first floor),
  •      there are anti-slip floors and anti-slip carpeting  throughout the whole building,

  •      a ramp inside the building eliminating differences in floor levels,

  •         auditoriums with fixed seats have places for disabled people in wheelchairs.

     

     

    Building at 50 Henryka Sienkiewicza Street:

     has a ramp for disabled students, which is located at the entrance to the university building.

"Krok w Przyszłość"


We invite you to the project „Krok w Przyszłość”, organized by the Association „CRAS”, which offers free professional training according to your needs and 4-month paid professional internships. The project is addressed to 20 people with disabilities, including at least 16 people with severe or moderate disabilities, who meet the following conditions in total:

  • have a certified degree of disability (significant or moderate or light),
  • they are without employment,
  • they are graduates of higher education, who have graduated from a higher education institution or a foreign university or obtained discharge not earlier than 60 months before the date of joining the project or are students pursuing the last or penultimate semester of higher education, or,
  • they live or study in the Podkarpackie region, in,
  • are not covered by the same activation activities within the framework of 

As part of the project, support is offered according to the needs of the participant:

  • Individual career counseling,
  • Group workshops, career counseling
  • Professional training according to needs,
  • 4-month paid work placements,
  • Employment intermediation,
  • Support of specialists (e.g., psychologist/therapist, lawyer, specialist in job crafting, etc.),
  • Motivational supplement.

For people outside Rzeszow we provide reimbursement of travel costs for all forms of support ! Participation in the project is COMPLETELY FREE.
